| Starring
Gareth Thomas as the Doctor
The TARDIS brings the Doctor and Louise
(Helen Goldwyn) to London at the end of the twentieth century. He
discovers that young girls are being abducted by sinister cockney magician
Lee Hanson and taken to satisfy the needs of his gangster boss, Reggie
Knight.
The Doctor attempts to enter Knight's
underground hideout by venturing into the tunnels of London's Tube but
finds the base guarded by a giant mouse. Unperturbed, and with the
assistance of Professor Samantha Litefoot (Lynda Bellingham) and
theatrical agent Nick Jago (Nicholas Briggs), the Doctor and Louise must
find a way to stop Knight from getting his hands on the TARDIS or the
future may end up as crooked as the present...
Can the Doctor put paid to Knight's
machinations? Do me a favour...
Jago: 'That's my trouble, Litefoot.'
Litefoot: ''What'
Jago: 'Well I'm not awfully... Well, I'm not so bally brave when it comes
to it. I try to be but I'm not.'
Litefoot: 'Well when it comes to it, I don't suppose any man is.
Fortunately I'm a woman so get out of my way!'
Based on a script by Robert Holmes, adapted for a
twenty first century, non-racist audience by Nicholas Briggs
