On a backwards world in the unfashionable end of the galaxy a terrible evil enters the Tardis. Unseen, unfelt, unknown, it establishes itself in the very heart of the ship. There it waits... and waits... until the time is right...

"Hello - I'm the Doctor."

"I'm Quality. Quality Street."

"That's a very pretty name. Would you like to travel with me in my time machine?"

"Fantastic!"

Just when everything seemed to be going according to plan the evil comes out of hiding.

"What's goin' on, Doctor?"

"Oh dear, Quality. The Tardis won't let you in unless you've brought references with you and signed the medical consent form."

"You what?"

"And apparently you haven't given Ricky the required month's notice so you can't start aboard the Tardis until the middle of next month. Sorry about this but my hands are tied."

Is this the end for the Doctor's carefree existence?

Or is it the end for everything?
