The quest to find the fifth segment of the Key to Comedy takes the Doctor to the planet Giro where the native Boswells worship their mighty god Dole. Can the Doctor prevent war between the Boswells and the crew of the Job Centre or will the machinations of the sinister Martina succeed in playing both sides off against each other?

As the mighty Dole threatens to rise from the swamps, time begins to bend. The same events keep happening again and again. The same words are spoken every half hour. Will the insanity never end?

When the head man of the Boswell tribe regenerates, the Doctor begins to suspect Time Lord intervention.
