Vegetarian Sues McDonalds

A vegetarian from California is to sue fast food giant McDonalds after it is alleged she was not warned that their food contained meat. Ms Dykestein of Los Angeles ordered a cheese burger in her local McDonalds and had consumed all but a handful of french fries when a local vicar asked her what on earth she was doing.

"He broke the news to me that I had been eating meat" sobbed Ms Dykestein. "I felt physically ill."

"Ms Dykestein ordered her cheese burger in good faith" explained her attorney Ms Betina Globes of top LA law firm Spurious, Fatuous and Globes, "and at no time did the man who served her warn her that the food contained animal flesh."

McDonalds declined to comment but did give us some chips so that was nice of them.

"It is clearly a case of negligence on the part of McDonalds to label a foodstuff a 'cheese' burger when in fact it contains meat. Ms Dykestein does not have a problem eating cheese. She enjoys cheese. She just doesn't enjoy cheese which is mixed with dead creature."

We asked Ms Globes whether Ms Dykestein should've been aware that McDonalds specialised in meat based products.

"She leads a busy life as an independent woman" said Ms Globes, "and cannot be expected to have intimate knowledge of this kind. The fault is clearly with the man who served her and we will not be satisfied until we receive damages for the mental distress caused."

Ms Dykestein announced her mental distress would take approximately one hundred million dollars to fix. The case begins next month.
