We recap – Cody and Ted are in a stolen moon tank with some stolen Lunarium and are escaping from some moon men in a second moon tank. Cody has been asphyxiated but Ted – seen here in Cody’s super hero outfit – has been dispatched to drop bombs on the moon tank filled with moon men.

This action takes place on the moon.

Hurray – Ted has arrived back at the tank after dropping one whole bomb and missing the moon tank completely. He opens the hatch and slides in. I’m not sure if he’s actually standing on Cody here or not. Maybe he mistook him for some decking.

Cody lives~!

The moon men have left their moon tank and are attacking Ted with their moon pistols.

Cody has fixed the moon tank and they escape. Man alive – that’s one smooth ride.

They ready the rocket ship for launch. The captured moon man from the previous chapter asks if he’s to be let go. Cody says no and sends him back to his quarters. Add kidnapping to the list of Cody’s heroic qualities. It’s building up into quite the résumé. The moon man and Cody have a strange father-son relationship.

Cody has a weird way of saying "safety belts".

With the rocket ship in flight, what else is there for the female member of the crew to do except go and get coffee for the men.

The moon man has escaped from his quarters and a fight breaks out.

For some reason, men brawling makes the rocket ship wobble as it flies across the moon’s well-lit landscape.

Cody and the moon man grapple as the moon man threatens to fire the pistol he’s found. That’ll teach them a valuable lesson about projectile weapons and pressurised cabins.

Finally, Cody turns the gun on the moon man and the latter is shot to death. I would’ve expected nothing less of Commando Cody.

Having disposed of the body ("It’s just like a burial at see except that he’ll float around in space forever") the command is given – head for home!

Meanwhile, on Earth…

Retick radios Krog and tells him that the rocket ship must not be allowed to land. Krog’s life is at stake – use the ray gun to destroy it (or else~!)

To ensure there are no foul ups, Krog uses his advanced moon technology to write them a list of things to kill.

The hoodlums are setting their trap. It is the same trap that has failed several times already so the sense of dramatic tension is somewhat completely absent.

A ray gun blast shakes the rocket ship. Cody puts on his special coat and prepares to go out and fight. This must be the battle in the stratosphere we’ve heard about. Between a man in a leather jacket with a pistol and some men on the ground. Did the writer actually look up the word "stratosphere"?

"They’re out of range" says one hoodlum.

"They’ll have to come down some time" replies his disreputable colleague.

No one mentions the chance – the slim chance – that they might land somewhere else on the Earth’s surface.

They fire their ray gun at Commando Cody. It clearly blows his wooden head off.

No – he’s only wounded. But falling.

Thank goodness – he’s remembered the flight controls.

Cody clambers out of the bushes and attacks the hoodlums.

A gun battle ensues again.

They remember that they have a ray gun and fire it at Cody.

Cody lives~!

They fire at him again only this time they start a rock fall.

Cody is crushed to death.

More jollity next week.
