How is Cody going to get out of his latest fix. I can’t even be bothered putting a question mark at the end of that sentence. Such is my sense of wonder.

He falls in a manner approved by a board of physicists.

He cleverly turns his dial from off…

…to on…

…and flies away to safety. Hoo-yawn-ray.

Rather than go after the men that tried to kill him (again), Cody flies back to his secret laboratory and explains his miraculous escape to Ted and Joan while taking his coat off. It isn’t a long story.

This being a science fiction action adventure yarn, we naturally return to the café from Chapter Six and watch Cody – his hat looking too big for his head – chatting up a man who would’ve been a cowboy had he been born a few years earlier.

The cowboy gives Cody the address of a mechanic who had been doing some work for the two hoodlums.

Meanwhile, on the moon…

Krog and Retick have a conversation. Now they’re both reading from cue cards. Has no one any pride in their work any more?

They are concerned that the Earth people know of Retick's plan and are moving troops around to defend themselves. They are doing so by train. Retick has a plan.

Krog gives the two hoodlums a train time table and tells them to destroy as many trains as they can. They say "Right". It’s that kind of play.

Cody visits the garage believed to have been frequented by the baddies.

He is pushing a few boxes in the back of a truck when – lord love a duck

– the two gangsters come in to collect it. They pull a gun on Commando Cody because that has always proved a successful tactic in the past.

A fight breaks out.

Cody loses again.

Rather than follow them in his car, he goes back to his top secret laboratory, puts on the flying suit that he has never thought of taking with him when he investigates bad guys, and flies off in search of the truck.

Hurrah – he’s found it.

Ted has hopped aboard a plan and is in radio contact with Cody. Dig his stripy steering wheel.

The hoodlums have spotted Cody and get a gun out to shoot at him.

Cody lands on the roof of Ted’s plane and joins him for a chat.

Oh look – heroic Commando Cody has brought bombs with him to drop on the bad guys.

It’s a near miss. The hoodlums decide to stop and destroy the plane with their ray gun. I suppose it is an occupational hazard if you will drop bombs on people with a ray gun.

Those boxes are fakes! Who knew?

Cody and Ted spot the ray gun and swoop for a final attack. Meanwhile, the baddies are getting ready to fire. Who will get there first? And will Cody and Ted bail out of the plane before it happens?

ZAP~!

BANG~!

That’ll be the moon, presumably.
