"White Mice"

24th December 1985

This was a 5 minute 'mini episode' starring David Jason as Del and consumer expert Lynn Faulds-Wood as herself

As the episode begins Del is trying to sell cheap hankerchiefs on the market ("A pleasure to have a flu with" he says).

Lynn sports a fetching red scarf, suggesting a winter setting

Lynn is Del's "most favourite name" though it's not the first time he's made that claim about the moniker of an attractive lady. Lynn is from something called "The BBC's Breakfast Time" that hasn't been mentioned in the series before. Rodney is now the firms "Director of Public Relations".

Del sold six white mice to a "Mr Buttons" ("a wally in a funny hat") and told him they were magic, and would turn into horses.

"Dance Macabre!"

Del tries to pull Lynn with the offer of a curry, but the wily minx is having none of it.

A really wooden performance by Lynn Faulds-Over in this mini-parable on consumer rights. She arrives, she chastises him for feeding a yarn to a customer that frankly only a child or a moron would believe, and then she leaves. It's like a joke without a punchline.

Lynn Faulds-Wooden
Mice. White ones. Not magical.
Del's going to prove he was right
See? How could anyone doubt him
