Welcome to the world of Eternia! "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" was a cartoon series made in 1982-83 which was made to flog Mattel's line of action-figures. It involved a hero called Adam and his cowardly cat Cringer, who lived in the world of Eternia. Assisted by friends like Teela, Man-At-Arms and Orko, they regularly fought off a colourful assortment of foes led by the evil Skeletor. Oh, and Adam had the ability to transform into muscular superhero He-Man, defender of the Castle of Grayskull! In this guide, I intend to take a look at the many adventures of He-Man and his bronzed friends, and try and work out just what it was all about! I'll also endeavour to unpick the oddities and inconsistencies of the series along the way, as well as cataloguing the weird and wonderful weapons, creatures and vehicles used by the heroes of Eternia... and listing the patronising morals that ended each episode. By the Power of Grayskull! |
