The force of the explosion knocks Queen Azura to the ground. Although, being female, it might’ve been her ankles or a slight breeze.

Flash is fine and caresses Azura in the hope of waking her from her female slumbers.

In the rocket ship, the men realise they’ve made a hideous mistake.

Dale spots Flash cuddling the Queen of Magic. Dale is appalled.

Azura is pretty badly injured. At least she seems to have seen the error of her ways.

"I never should’ve trusted Ming" she says with what may turn out to be her last breath.

Azura gives Flash the white sapphire – the source of her magical powers – and tells him that destroying both sapphires will free the Clay People from her curse. I actually think they’re going to let her die. I am appalled.

The bombers circle to land. Time is critical. At best they’ve got half an hour until those buffoons stop arsing around and actually land.

Oh my lordy – Azura is dead. It’s almost touching.

Let’s not mention that Flash was far closer to the blast and escaped without a scratch. Oh what it must be to be butch and manly and impervious to bombs.

Flash and co arrive at the Clay Caves and are greeted by some Clay Men. Their friends are waiting inside.

See – Barin greets Flash with a firm but determined hand shake.

The King is appalled at the news that Azura is dead. "It will be a terrible blow" he says.

"Let your hearts be filled with gratitude" says the King of the late Queen Azura. They have a minute’s silence and her years are cruelty and tyranny are forgotten.

The two sapphires are placed in what appears to be a Perspex box. Flash is asked to operate the control because of his knowledge of electricity. Or some such wank. He turns a wheel…

…everyone cowers…

…and the magic of electricity destroys the powerful gems.

At once, the Clay Men transform from this –

To this –

And we have our happy ending. Two weeks early but I think we can all go home now.

But wait! A messenger brings news. Ming is arming the forest people with guns and Nitron and they are to wage war against the Ex-Clay People.

Meanwhile, in his laboratory, Ming schemes.

Flash is going off to save everyone again. Dale wants to go with him but Flash thinks she’ll be safer staying in the care of an old man who is flesh and blood for the first time in centuries. I don’t think I’d be that trusting.

This is what Ming has sent to obliterate the Ex-Clay People – ballet dancers with a cargo of death.

They arrive in the Tree People’s Kingdom and Flash has a plan of some sort.

"I hope they don’t get into trouble" says Zarkov, apparently unaware of the previous twelve weeks of adventures.

They creep about for a bit looking for something to do.

The Tree Men go out looking for the rocket ships Ming has sent to meet them.

Flash does what any right thinking person would do – he climbs a tree, swings down and…

A fight breaks out.

Barin breaks Flash’s midget hurling record by six feet.

The capture the ring leader. They want to know where Ming’s rocket ships will land. He is a baddie and therefore lacks moral fibre. He gives in and tells them almost immediately.

They hang him up on some convenient ropes and bugger off.

They take off in the rocket ship and Flash reveals that he's got a plan. It involves putting on one of those bat wing cloaks and bailing out.

I wonder what he’s aiming for.

Hmm – possibly.

So far so good.

This man heard a noise. He goes to investigate.

Flash punches him in the face. It’s a great plan so far.

He takes control of the rocket ship.

No he doesn’t – a fight breaks out instead.

The rocket ship starts losing height.

These two have noticed that something is wrong with the other rocket ship. They try to contact them on the radio but to no avail.

The ground, as they are heading to it.

Rapidly.

Mountains.

Dead.
