![]() Flash struggles manfully to escape his bondage but it is all to no avail.
Oh wait, yes it is. He’s free.
They escape through the skylight. It isn’t without some inappropriate touching.
A guard reports that an attempt has been made to free Flash Gordon. Ming cackles that they’re too late. Look at that misplaced smugness.
Ming goes to the disintegrator room and finds that his prisoner has escaped. He clenches his fists in annoyance. That’s how cross he is.
Some guards happen upon Barin and Zarkov. Zarkov takes the news in his stride.
They deal with the guards and make for a nearby rocket ship.
They escape.
They return to the kingdom of the Clay People. This Clay Person is delighted to see them. The king has apparently been worrying.
Flash explains that all the things the Earth people wanted have been successfully completed. The only bit they failed at was the trifling matter of the Clay People’s continued suffering under the rule of Azura, Queen of Magic. But that’s not really important – humans rule.
Barin suggests they would have a better chance of capturing Azura if they used the rocket ship he brought from Mongo. He doesn’t say why.
The King asks Barin why he’s opposed to Ming. Cue another flash back to Serial One. Bald Ming, blonde Dale, sexy Aura and Barin without his hat. We see Flash and Barin’s sword fight which ended with Flash unmasking Barin and them becoming firm friends.
Ming reports that Flash and co are on their way to the forest kingdom. Azura – who believes Ming’s lies about Flash having the black sapphire – tells Ming to use all the resources at her disposal to stop Flash getting to the forest. She rubs herself at the thought of what Flash might do to her with the black sapphire.
Flash and his gang split up and wander round the forest kingdom. That’s always a sound idea. They are spotted though by a savage dozing lightly on a branch.
Some savages jump down and attack Happy. Dale is appalled.
Dale is taken away by the Tree People while Happy is left behind for some reason.
He decides not to draw attention to himself by shouting for Flash at the top of his voice.
Flash and Happy find each other. Flash seems astonished that the Tree People would be taking Dale to their temple. Doesn’t he realise that is what savage alien races do? They take pretty girls to their temple and will no doubt try and sacrifice her to some bit of pottery they are damned foolish enough to think is a god.
The high priest examines her and tells his men to put her in position for the incense of forgetfulness. Then, he says, she will become a servant of Kaloo (or whatever their mumbo jumbo god is called). It is a warm and fuzzy testament to their belief in their religion that would be believers must be brainwashed first.
Happy finds the rest of the party. Barin tells him off for shouting. Finally a man of sense.
Speaking of sense (specifically incense) the brainwashing continues.
Dale is appalled.
As is Flash, now overlooking the ceremony.
I have a feeling the incense are beginning to work. It’s just a wild hunch in the dark.
The others regroup. Flash is awfully fond of caressing Barin’s chest.
Meanwhile, Dale is pledging the rest of her life to the service of a rather ugly god statue thing.
Flash tries to run into the temple. A fight breaks out.
Flash plays a quick game of hurl the midget and implores Dale to get out of the temple.
But she picks up a sacred dagger…
…creeps up behind Flash…
…who has his own troubles…
…and kills him.
The end.
