DWB - originally Doctor Who Bulletin before
embracing other genre series and becoming Dreamwatch Bulletin (and
eventually just Dreamwatch) was the most infamous of all the 1980s and 90s
Doctor Who fanzines. While DWAS and DWM were content to be generally
positive and happy about everything, DWB was not. It was the angry young
fanzine of Doctor Who, it was the punk of fan produced magazines and the
Anne Boleyn of unofficial, unlicensed journalism. Threatened with legal
action, obsessed with JNT and at times the only source for unfiltered news
during Doctor Who's most difficult decade, DWB is hard to comprehend
nowadays when the internet brings every shade of opinion to the fore and
where the news is available to everyone in an instant. Thanks to the
internet I've obtained a pretty fulsome collection of DWB scans and this
is the result.
