EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!

BBC Worldwide Enterprises has announced a video distribution deal with an Albanian video distribution company called "The Albanian Video Distribution Company" to release a series of Doctor Who videos. For the benefit of our many Albanian readers, the covers for the latest releases are below along with continuing news of this exciting event.

"Frankly we are not understanding the Mine Rubber" said Dimitris Balkanof on the eve of the official launch of this - the latest - Doctor Who video to be released on Albania's popular Betamax video format. "It is containing much images of people reading books but not they are burning them and lockings people up for having them. This will not make sense to the peeps of Albania but I don't really care as long as it sells well into double figures and helps pay for my wife to get a new wig. Have you seen my wife? She look like Brian Glover in a frock."

Bernard Horsefall will be appearing at "Eighth Planet" in Tirana and singing copies of the video. He has a good voice and said it will make a night change from autographing things.

Excitement is building in Albania's video community following the announcement that Jon Pertwee's first season story "The Ambassadors of Death" will be arriving on Albanian shelves in early 2004.

"The Albanians people are much excitable about this news" explained Dimitris Balkanof, "they will be able to viewing the story in glorious monochrome for the first times. We Albanian Video Company people are planning to improve the picture qualitys by personally cleaning the television screen of every buyer using special wet cloths and soap. They will be seeing their faces in screen along with Jonny Pertwimp's and the Bridgeodeer"

What better way to follow up to last month's release of Castrovalva than with Tom Baker's epic Logopolis?

Unofficially known as "The Two Doctors", Logopolis features computer technology which the people of Albania will positively drool over while the reckless freedoms enjoyed by the Logopolitans may cause controversy with Albania Ministry of Oppression.

Janet Fielding will be appearing at "Eighth Planet" in Tirana and signing for the deaf.

With Peter Davison's Albanian debut "Earthshock" having sold well into double figures, the Albanian Video Distribution Company was keen to have more from the man that the Albanian Press have dubbed "Mr Davidson".

Castrovalva sees the Doctor (pictured on the right) battling his bearded nemesis the Master (left) in a world created entirely from mental energy.

"Forget star rationing - I give this *****" said the Tirana Times.

Revelation of the Daleks is the first exposure of the Albanian people to the monsters which made Doctor Who what it is today

Dimitris Balkanof explains

"I am being very excitable about the arrival of the Darlings. Them are the most famousest Docty Who monsters and the peeple of Albania will be hiding behind the sofa by tea time or my name isn't Dimitris Balkanof."

"Eighth Planet" in Tirana are advertising a special signing by a Dalek for next Thursday. Admission is by purchase of two copies of the video and the small print says that the Dalek won't actually be able to sign anything because it is made of wood.

Each cassette will retail for Ten Leke 50 and will be available from both good record shops.
