Ten years ago - March 1996

New Adventures

Kate Orman (of "Jon Blum's wife Kate Orman" fame) writes the beginning of the "psi powers" arc.

Did I buy it?

I fear not. I got half way through one of her books though. A different one. I forget its name.

Missing Adventures

An elderly looking Doctor and his noble sidekick engage in a comic romp from the pen of Gareth "Graske" Roberts.

Did I buy it?

Nope - even though it appears to be City of Death's older, wiser brother.

Biography

Sophie Aldred and that special effects guy write a memoir about her time on board the show.

Did I buy it?

No. Maybe I would today (I've read Cartmell's book for goodness sake) but I didn't back in them days.

DWM

Paul McGann IS the Doctor! Our new hero begins his lengthy tenure by holding a piece of lumpy glass and copying Christopher Eccleston's haircut.

Did I buy it?

Yes - this was big stuff back in 1996. We were so naive...
