Who is Clarence Dennis Brent?

The simple answer is that he is Britain's leading telehistorian. His knowledge of television and its production is second to none. He has selflessly dedicated his life to the recording, researching and reporting of the minutia of Britain's telehistory.

He has a wide circle of friends - from the extremely rotund telehistorian Ian Devine to the lanky telehistorian Grantham, via the reasonably rotund telehistorian Wicks. You couldn't hope to have a wider cross section of society in your inner circle than that.*

We also meet Dennis's sensible brother Donald Brent, his pet Elkie Elkerson and her boyfriend Elko and the various sensible inhabitants of the village of Bendaton.

We present, for your education, Mr Brent's secret diaries as well as exclusive serialisation of excerpts from his forthcoming autobiography "Brent's Seven" in which he and (to a much lesser degree) his friends save the world from various webs of mayhem and intrigue.

*Following a fascinating technical disagreement, Mr Brent's friends suggested, in friendly solicitors letters, that they must not be identified in Mr Brent's published chronicles. Therefore their names have been altered. All events described are recorded to the best of Mr Brent's extremely sensible memory.
