Boxpops - Top of the pop charts in July 89 were the
continuing Back To Life and You'll Never Stop Me Loving You by Sonia.
Critique - The issues which are multiples of 50
tend to be a bit special, and this one is no exception, with the extra
pages allowing for a good mixture of features. The cover is a bit
uninspired though. Not too much to argue with regarding the poll results,
although it's bizarre to see Keff McCulloch as best musician (presumably
they just voted for the Dalek story in everything bar the villain), and it
is equally amusing to see S25 as the all time greatest season! It's fun to
now read the Nostalgia on Tomb, given that most of the comments refer to
its missing status. The highlight of the issue though is the new series
The Newbery Masterpieces, and some stunning photos from the final episode
of Daleks' Masterplan, particularly Sara's ageing and death. Oh, and they
didn't get McCoy to stay on for the 27th season after all...
