News And Views - With the new season provisionally scheduled to begin in September, it will not be up against Coronation Street on Mondays, as Watchdog has this slot. Prince Edward was asked to play a small part in Silver Nemesis, but was busy on another production. No decision will be made on a new producer for the show until the end of August. Previews And Reviews - Wartime is reviewed - "Mystery and action make this project well worth seeing." Remembrance of the Daleks is previewed - "All the signs are good that this will be a story to remember - and savour - for many years to come." Other Regulars - This month's complete comic strip is called Keepsake. Boxpops - The second series of Red Dwarf debuts on BBC2 on 6th September. Top of the pop charts in September 88 were the continuing Yazz, A Groovy Kind Of Love by Phil Collins and He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother by The Hollies. Critique - They were spot on with their quote above on Remembrance, and at the time I was even excited by the colour photos forming the Picture Preview on Page 2. I still haven't seen Wartime yet. Once again, the comic strip is quite unmemorable, although it's always nice to have an artwork cover. It is odd with hindsight to see all the talk of a new producer on the way... |
