The Basics - Issue 136, May 1988. The front cover has a photo of Louise Jameson, who is interviewed inside, and the back cover pin up is of Ace from Dragonfire.

News And Views - Day of the Daleks and Robots of Death are to be re-released on video at £9.99 in the near future, and there is a possibility that the PG rated Talons of Weng Chiang and Terror of the Zygons will now be released in Britain in early 1989. Location shooting should have started by now in Ireland and the Canary Islands for the Coast to Coast movie. The Dapol figures were launched at the 1988 Earls Court Toy Fair.

Reviews - The Spearhead From Space video is reviewed - "easily one of the best video releases to date; a sheer delight."

Other Regulars - A new three part comic strip, Claws of the Klathi!, begins.

Boxpops - The 1st ITV Telethon is aired on the 29th and 30th May, lasting 27 hours. Top of the pop charts in May 88 were the continuing S-Express, Perfect by Fairground Attraction and With A Little Help From My Friends by Wet Wet Wet.

Skaro Says - Andrew Curnow remembers the release of Spearhead From Space on video, with the reviewer calling it the most adult DW story ever. He doesn't remember much else about this issue, although the comic strip title sounds familiar. Si Hart recalls that this was the issue that someone described as "DWM going all Woman's Own", as per the cover. He also remembers getting this issue during the school holidays, and pestering his Mum at work for £1! He notes that all the comic strips during this period were awful, with nobody able to get the hang of drawing McCoy.
