News And Views - Hugh David and Len Hutton passed away recently. GG reports briefly on a DW themed edition of Open Air on 29th September 1987, in which JNT confirmed that there would be a 25th season, with McCoy and Aldred and again composed of two four parters and two three parters. JNT will produce for the eighth successive year. There are reports that a movie may be out for the 25th anniversary from the company Coast To Coast. Ratings for the first three episodes of the 24th season were 5.1m, 4.2m and 4.3m.

Reviews - After Image debuts, reviewing Time and the Rani - "The action and set pieces were there, but the plot was a rather sickly relation to the glossy production. A definite improvement on last season's opener.". The Christmas Merchandise report features videos (Death to the Daleks, John Levene and Peter Grimwade Myth Makers), music tapes, masks, Fine Art Castings, the 1988 Who Dares Calendar, holographic postcards, and a separate section on Sevans Models.

Boxpops - Top of the pop charts in January 88 were the continuing Pet Shop Boys, Heaven Is A Place On Earth by Belinda Carlisle and I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany.

Skaro Says - Regarding the Merchandise Report, Craig Rollins notes that even then the production team knew exactly who tbe target audience was - usually the wealthy, obsessive, single fan. Craig had limited himself to just the books and videos, although by then he was even stopping buying those. Jonno agrees, as he has never been interested in the "tat" associated with the show.
