The Basics - Issue 119, December 1986. The front cover is a photo of Nicola Bryant, who is interviewed inside, while the inside back cover pin up is the Sixth Doctor from The Twin Dilemma. There are 4 extra pages in this issue at no extra cost.

News And Views - The Death to the Daleks video has been delayed until early in the new year, as BBC Video launch their cut price range, beginning with Revenge of the Cybermen for £9.99. New daytime programme Open Air will feature Doctor Who heavily soon. GG reveals that the Eric Saward departure was somewhat acrimonious. The unconfirmed rating for the first episode of Season 23 is 4.9 million. Feature writer Richard Marson writes in reply to a letter about his Fantasy Males and Females articles, while all other letters are about the first four episodes of the new season.

Reviews - Off The Shelf reviews The Mind Robber - "144 pages of good fun and entertaining" - and its author Peter Ling is interviewed. The Christmas Gift review features videos (Day of the Daleks and various Myth Makers interview videos), theme music records, Fine Art Castings, photographs, the 1987 Calendar, Sevans models and the computer game The Mines of Terror.

Boxpops - Top of the pop charts in December 86 were The Final Countdown by Europe, Caravan of Love by The Housemartins and Reet Petite by Jackie Wilson.

Skaro Says - Craig Rollins played the Mines of Terror game on his friend's PC, and it was fantastic fun, but strangely the copy he has now is quite awful! Si Hart feels that once again the comic strip Changes is great, although the author conveniently ignored Frobisher's mono-morphia. He had the ad for the Golden Wonder crisps promo on his wall for a while too. Re-reading the second part of Changes now has made Jonno realise what a continuity fest it was. He has never seen The Mines of Terror. Andrew Curnow remembers the glowing review for The Mind Robber novelisation, and agrees that it is a good read with a great cover. Logo Polish nominates Changes as one of his favourite Sixth Doctor comic strips.

Something to make Si Hart all nostalgic
