"Department S"

An Australian import (tragically not released over here) of the classic 1960s series which featured Peter "The Moustache" Wyngarde solving baffling crimes with the aid of a stock American and a stock pretty bird.

An airliner which loses its passengers mid-flight? A dummy that can drive? A plane that lands six days late but the pilot believes the flight was normal? These are cases for Department S!

"Trigger Happy TV"

Fresh and original comedy which manages to take all the cruelty out of prank TV. No smug Jeremy Beadle, just fantastically surreal humour. Act now and you can get all three DVDs for the price of one in the HMV sale.

"Sexie" by Eddie Izzard

In a moment of controversy I will suggest that this release sees Izzard too concerned with trying to "be" the Eddie Izzard that people expect rather than being the Eddie Izzard that he was before. When a man does a lengthy (and not terribly funny) segment on his own (fake) breasts you know that this isn't going to be a classic show.

It's just classic Victorian Doctor Who from the golden era of the 1970s... which I didn't actually watch until today despite having had it for months...

Jam

Jam by Christopher Morris

Rating - ?????

Inside the warped mind of Chris Morris. Much better to watch when you're in the right frame of mind rather than at the whim of a scheduler who isn't old enough to buy the DVD.
