"Introduction" by Alex
Parks
I know nothing of her origins
on some telly show or other but I like her. |
 |
Extreme Euphoria
I know - a strange choice -
but for whatever reason I have discovered that "techno" and "trance" music
is fabulous to listen to while writing. This comp was £4 is the WHS sale. |
 |
"Sarah Jane Smith" by Big Finish Productions
A series of five CDs of which
I've heard three in the past week. Officially a Dr Who spin off but it's
not really got any connection with the series except the leading
character's past companionship.

"Results
May Vary" by Limp Bizkit
I'm 27 and I like Limp Bizkit.
Shoot me now. Build a Bridge
is good though. You must admit that. Maybe.

 |
"Kid Rock" by Kid Rock
Has yet to convince me that
it's in the same league as his last album "Cocky"

Atomic - The Very Best of Blondie
Rating - ****
I had no idea how many Blondie songs
I'd heard and liked until I listened to this compilation.
|
 |
American Life by Madonna
Rating - ***
Competent bop material.
|
 |
Sabbath Dei by Lawrence Miles
Rating - ****
The saga of Faction Paradox continues
in the third CD of the series.

Read My Lips by Sophie
Ellis-Bextor
Rating - *****
Just perfect happy pop. She
sings with an English accent too which is a nice change to all the
songbirds who try to be Americans.

 |
Fallen by Evanescence
Rating - *****
It's gothic rock but without
any of that devil worshiping crap that no one believes in anyway and which
leads to sad cases of shock for the sake of shock.

Greatest Hits Volume 2 by
Madonna
Rating - ****
Though not a big Madonna fan,
I've given this Best Of... disc another go and it's full of very pleasant
songs. Even the ones I "knew" I didn't like were oddly enjoyable.

Doctor Who 'Spare Parts' by
Marc Platt
Rating - ****
Though not given the name,
this story is effectively Genesis of the Cybermen. A fascinating look at
the origins of Dr Who's second most popular monsters. |
